Summer Preparedness
Top tips for keeping cool....
- Keep an eye on the weather forecast.
- Shut doors and windows when the temperature outside is hotter.
- Close blinds and curtains to keep out the sun.
- Avoid the heat - by staying out of the sun between 11am and 3pm.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Wear loose fitting, cool clothing and a hat outside.
- Have a cool bath or shower.
- Identify the coolest room in the house.
- If traveling, take plenty of drinks, food, a hand held fan (if you have one) and any medication you might need.
- When going out remember to wear sunscreen.
- Check on friends and famly.
- Check on vulnerable neighbours.
