Top tips for keeping cool....

  • Keep an eye on the weather forecast.
  • Shut doors and windows when the temperature outside is hotter.
  • Close blinds and curtains to keep out the sun.
  • Avoid the heat - by staying out of the sun between 11am and 3pm.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Wear loose fitting, cool clothing and a hat outside.
  • Have a cool bath or shower.
  • Identify the coolest room in the house.
  • If traveling, take plenty of drinks, food, a hand held fan (if you have one) and any medication you might need.
  • When going out remember to wear sunscreen.
  • Check on friends and famly.
  • Check on vulnerable neighbours.
