Do you know whether you live or work in a flood risk area?  Did you know there is an easy way to find out, just using your postcode.  The Environment Agency provide flood maps which will show you if you are at risk from flooding.

Once you know whether you are at risk, the Environment Agency provide a service called Flood Warnings Direct.  This service enables you to receive warnings of coastal and river flooding in your area direct to your mobile, home and business phones and via email too. The service is completely free and could provide you with the early warning you need to protect your home or business from potential flooding.  Further information about this service  is available on the Environment Agency Website.
